Moulin Rouge (2001)

A magnificent, opulent, tremendous, stupendous, gargantuan, bedazzlement, a sensual ravishment. It will be: Spectacular! Spectacular!

I love this man and his music to bits. ♥ From his very first album to The Awakening. So beautiful!

Sweet Treats!

I just love these Pistachio Cookies from the Palace (Istana Nurul Iman)! They’re crunchy and melt in your mouth and really just lovely. ♥ The cupcakes are from Kitchen of Jasmine and well, they’re no Sonja’s cupcakes but aren’t they cute?

Shout out to Hanah for a great afternoon out today! Finally had some Hokkien mee and well, let’s just say I need a good round of badminton with mum today!

My cat, Emily!! Our family’s had her for almost ten years now and sadly, she’s gotten really old and isn’t as playful anymore but still, I love her to bits! She’s got the softest fur and soft paws and is so light, very much in contrast with Cooper’s rough paws and coarse fur and heavy weight but really, I love them both equally! They’re not just pets, they’re part of the family. Now, I miss Cooper even more! ♥

The Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex. And yes, that’s just a highway in the city on a rainy Sunday morning. :)

Halal dim sum at Foodzone at Yayasan! You don’t know how glad I am for this because all of their dim sum is pork free and I can eat them without feeling sick afterwards. ♥

And lookie, Brunei is apparently now implementing some eco-friendly schemes. No plastic bags to be used from Friday to Saturday!

A Spiritual Spark
Woke up early this morning to go to Church and I have to admit I felt a tinge of excitement! Finally, I can go to church without feeling a bit of disappointment or doubt because I know the Church here has no politics and controversies and anything shady like that. It’s just plain, honest to goodness spiritual enrichment and I love that. I love when Bishop and the priests always have a synopsis or a short message at the end of the mass sharing their own experiences, stories and jokes. It just makes everything seem personal and just makes you feel really connected.

Although, now that I think about it, I suppose there’s a good side to having not attended mass in a long while. I did learn how to build a kind of spirituality that’s personal and free from impositions and judgement. Unbeknownst to many, I do pray and I still believe we don’t have to have an institution to practice our faith but if you find one that helps you, then great! And for me, growing up in this Church here, it’s always going to be the one. And well, I suppose now, it’s time I do some re-connection. :)
There’s an opposite to deja vu. They call it jamais vu. It’s when you meet the same people or visit places, again and again, but each time is the first. Everybody is a stranger. Nothing is ever familiar.

Ridiculously Photogenic Guy at Hogwarts

IMHO, I think 2NE1 is amazing on their own and they don’t need this kind of collaboration to get famous because hell, they already are! I just see this as them branching out and really exploring new things which I admire them even the more for. ♥ These girls are inspirations!

what is up, yo?

Oh, gosh. It has been ages since I last blogged! Not that I’m any kind of tumblr famous, of course. Just that… it’s just been ages. And why I chose to start again now, I don’t really know. I felt the desire to type something random and personal and here I am.
